The hot new Aveo RS hatchback is what India needs. After the success of the Beat (and the not so successful Aveo sedan and UV-A), the RS is what GM India need to take the competition to rivals like Ford, Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki. We have been following the development of these two models and now we can show you the real deal in the form of leaked patent drawings of these two cars, that could be headed to India.

The first and the best thing is that unaltered looks. The styling mimics the show car and is sure to be a hit with the younger generation, if the styling of the Beat is anything to go by. Moreover, the Aveo RS should be in India by 2012 to cater to the Beat generation that are looking for a upgrade and a similar funky car would do wonders. What’s more, the new Aveos are expected to borrow the brilliant 1.3L Multijet diesel engine that is found under the hoods of several Fiats, Marutis and Tatas.
GM recently revealed that there would be no more upgrades to their Aveo range nor will they phase them out. This could mean a delay that could push the new Aveos’ introduction to 2012. Keep your fingers crossed.
