Piaggio Introduces Ape Calessino Refreshed Variants

Piaggio Ape Calessino refresh was expected but no one even guessed about the possibility of Li-Ion variant of Ape Calessino.Arechimede Energia is the supplier of heart of the Calessino electric variant.The maximum speed claimed by Piaggio is 50Km/Hr and once the battery is fully charged this electric three wheeler will yield approximately 75Km before the battery drains.

Ape Calessino Electric Lithium power plant consists of 222V,6.8kWh Lithium Ion battery with 3.7Ah cells and an 18Kw AC Motor.The beauty of Piaggio Ape Calessino is it can be charged from a domestic AC power socket which supply 220VAC.The recharging will take place within four hours.The life of battery unit is 15 years or 800 charging cycles or 60,000km.

Ape Calessino Lithium Ion is now launched as a limited edition model with only 100 units will be available.These special edition units will come in a unique colour scheme i.e. white and blue.The exterior and interior has been decorated with this colour scheme.The body elements are  of canvas and plastic.

Piaggio has launched another variant of conventional Calessino with a 422cc diesel engine.The basic price of Calessino Lithium Ion is approx 20,000EURO while Diesel Calessino comes with 9,200EURO price tag.
