Wheelosphere is exclusively bringing you the first ever spy-shots of the Range Rover Evoque testing in Pune, India! Mr.Siddharth A Facebook user has caught this car doing rounds in Pune.
Just a few days back there were news reporting the launch of the Range Rover Evoque in India by this End 2011 and here we have the confirmation seeing at these spy-pictures!. The model posed for the photo is a three door variant, but we expect a five door variant here.
The Range Rover Evoque has evolved from the most compact Range Rover concept, LRX from the Detroit Show in 2008. Despite the SUV looking more like a Crossover, one should not forget this is still a Range Rover after-all, and it also proves its words. The Evoque does not fall back when it comes to serious off-roading. It is still a born-tough Range Rover!
There are three engine options available on RR Evoque,a 2.2-litre turbodiesel producing either either 148 bhp (110 kW; 150 PS) or 187 bhp (139 kW; 190 PS) and a 2-litre 237 bhp (177 kW; 240 PS) turbocharged petrol engine. Petrol engine is really not famous in premium SUVs here, but still we do expect Range Rover to bring it here.
Probably, the Range Rover Evoque will be brought in India as Completely Knocked Down Kit(CKD) and assembled at the Jaguar Land Rover’s facility at Pune. This will help JLR price it well around INR 38-50lacs.
So here we have some more pictures for your viewing pleasure. Stay tuned for such first reports…
