As of now Renault, the French auto major’s second Indian innings has not been an impressive one. Post break up with their erstwhile partner Mahindra and Mahindra, Renault introduced a D-segment product Fluence here. Though it has been three months now after Renault Fluence landed in India, the product is yet to gather momentum in our market. According to recent reports, Renault Fluence managed to clock 500 units sales. Now Renault is ready with their second product, Koleos. Though company has not divulged exact launch date, we anticipate Renault Koleos will join us for Diwali celebrations.
Company’s website is now featuring Koleos. Koleos is expected to get a 2.0ltr diesel engine with company of a six speed manual/auto gear box. The latest Renault Koleos will be unveiled in upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled for next month.
According to latest reports, Renault India may price Koleos less than Rs.20 lakhs and company has already started trials production at their Chennai plant.
Koleos is expected to lock horns with Chevrolet Captiva, Mitsubishi Outlander, Honda CR-V and BMW X1. So will this time Renault come with a product with decent features with a compelling price tag..?
