Renault planning Logan Automatic for Russia

Russian market has become a very important market for  Renault. Renault  launched 2011 Logan in Russia before  it’s launch in home country Romania. Renault now wants to take their new Logan  further. Renault is planning to bring their entry level sedan Logan’s autobox variant during upcoming Moscow International Autoshow.  

After the launch of  Automatic Logan in Russia, other market like Brazil and other developing markets. Some of parts of Europe will also receive Logan AT later. Renault-Dacia Logan Automatic will be propelled by a 1.6ltr powerhouse and will be coupled to a four speed automatic box. Probably Logan Automatic will be sharing its gearbox with Renault Megane.

In India, Logan is in the verge of loosing Renault badge as their Indian partner Mahindra bought brand “Logan”. Mahindra will be launching a revamped/shortened Logan early 2011. But Renault will continue supplying  engine and transmission components to Mahindra Logan. So can we expect a Logan with autobox here too? Stay tuned to Wheelosphere.
