Yes. I agree with the above statement.
Fiat should bring the new latest UNO in India and I am sure
they will be most successful in that segment.

But they should go alone?

@ Jijo,

Great piece of advice. We completely agree with you. Fiat may do sufficient ground work before they bring their next small car to India.

Sumathra has a point, which the higher strata of the Fiata and TATA so called managers would find hard to MANAGE!!! They would be busy trying hard to please their corporate warlords. What they should actually be doing is find better ways to bring in benefits to the company. Fiat Uno, one of the best cars that Indian roads have ever seen was phased out due to the lack of management tactics. First of all they had the best diesel engine in their kitty, of course they used it well. But, they failed to put a crowd-pulling price tag to that diesel engine. Styling and bad pricing killed the lad even before he could have his best days. Fiat should accept the fact that Uno was over-priced, which kept the customers way at safe distances. To add fuel to the fire Fiat could not come up with face-lifted versions even after sensing danger. If Fiat really wants to build a brand value in India, they should follow the foot steps of VW. A bit of sacrifice and patience will surely pay off in a big way in the time that follows.

Good business plan Sumathra, unfortunately we can not completely agree with your view point. We don't believe Tata - Fiat alliance can really harm Suzuki in India. VW-Suzuki alliance will be much stronger than Tata-Fiat association, this is our take on the scenario.

But we agree the fact Fiat knows the business, but they should use it wisely.

Fiat Tata alliance should act fast.Faster the action faster will be death for suzuki india. Fiat should bring their 1 litre 100 bhp 22kmpl engine which is being sold in Brazi and this should be fitted on all Tata -Fiat small to midside cars with diff gear ratios to match the torque ratingsl
