Rolls Royce launched the gleaming new Ghost at their authorised dealership in Hyderabad last week. The demand ultra-luxury cars is gaining in India with young entrepreneurs taking the lead from Royal families. About 700 Rolls Royces were imported pre-1947 of which 90% are still running on the roads. With the launch of the Ghost, Rolls Royce is targeting an overall sales of 50 units including 30 from the Ghost. The Ghost is available in India from Rs 2.5-2.7 crore depending on the level of customisation.

Sharad Kachalia, Director, Sales and Marketing, Navnit Motors said

“We are getting overwhelming response for the car in the country. It would take normally 2-3 months time for the delivery of the car after the firm order. We expect to sell 50 units this year,”

On the list of probables is Andhra Pradesh star Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan who have shown interest in the baby Rolls. RR have sold 30 cars in India in 2010.
