Skoda Is Planning An Entry Level Sedan

Skoda Auto is planning an entry level sedan for European markets.The commercial launch of this low cost sedan will happen by 2012.This move is to counter Renault Dacia Logan  which still rules the entry level sedan sales in almost all European markets.This new Skoda Sedan will be positioned between their super hatch Fabia and Octavia.

Skoda planning to sell this low cost sedan  between 10,000 to 12,000 Euros.Definitely Skoda will be adopting same components that they are already  using in Octavia and Fabia.The exact technical features and specifications of this upcoming sedan are yet to be released.

Skoda Auto, the Czech associate of VW was known for their ability to produce entry level cars but recently they had made a shift to luxury and high ended models.But it seems they have revisited their business strategy and planning to take their old path once again.The point of interest is the motivation behind this decision,the steady growth of economical model like Logan and  profitability.

Skoda, though they are present in India for the last few years, is yet to make their own  strong presence in Indian market.The Octavia debuted with a punch, Laura,Superb and Fabia followed in regular intervals.Now let us wait and see whether Skoda wants to bring this economical sedan to developing country like India too.To get more updates do stay subscribed.
