We all knew that Tata Motors is working on a facelift of their successful hatchback Indica Vista. But Autocar India managed to publish some spy pictures of the upcoming Tata Indica Facelift. We expect the launch of Indica facelift will happen by end of this month or early September. So what to expect in new Tata Vista? a front fascia borrowed from big brother Manza. A redesigned bumper to match Manza’s all chrome front grille and headlamps. The existing Vista’s headlamps will be replaced by a new double barrel type headlamps.
The facelifted Tata Indica Vista will have a new Tail lamp design. The Tata logo have been mounted on a black panel and the logo have been repositioned. Tata will continue using Fiat sourced engines in new Indica Vista as well ie 1.2-litre 64bhp and 1.4-litre petrol with VVT and the 1.3-litre common rail diesel motor.
Tata Indica Vista will feature extras like audio controls, power mirrors, 14-inch dual tone alloy wheels and additional chrome linings on the door panels and windows. Another important information we can make out from the spy picture is Tata Motors will name the variants of Indica Vista as LX, VX and ZX in place of Terra, Aqua and Aura (Inspiration from Maruti? ).
Is Tata getting ready to insulate their baby from the “All new Maruti Suzuki Swift launch” effect..?
We think Tata has already started filling inventories at their dealer end and the launch of Indica Vista may happen any time soon (may be as fast as next week after studying New Swift’s pricing). So stay tuned for more news bits.
