Swift,Ritz aka Splash,A-Star aka Alto got an additional LPG fuel option in Italy.That is a pleasant surprise from Suzuki.This is in response to Government’s huge subsidy to eco-friendly cars there.These new range of products has been christened as Suzuki Eco Generation.
You will shock to see the fuel economy figures of Suzuki A-Star LPG variant.One fully refilled Petrol and LPG stock can take you to approximately 1000kms.The emission of Alto and Swift models falls below 100g/km, that is too green in this vehicle category.But Splash LPG variant emission just exceeds hundred grams mark.
The government subsidy was the motivation for Suzuki to launch LPG variants of these hot selling products there.India (where Suzuki tops the chart in almost all category they are present) have not seen any serious movement from them except Wagon-R Duo.So Suzuki is waiting for subsidy for launching these eco-friendly cars in India also?
