Suzuki UK, today launched a special and limited edition Alto (A-Star in India) to boost the market demand further. The limited edition Alto is labelled as Alto SZ-L, is based on top end variant Alto SZ3  but with some additional features. These special editions Alto will be very limited and only 500 units will be produced. There are not much changes in this limited edition Alto. The standard features include air conditioning, pollen filter and side airbags and  special additions like redesigned wheel caps, black fog lamp surrounds and black ‘B’ pillar trims as well as SZ-L embossed tailgate trim and black side mouldings.

Under the roof, Suzuki Alto SZ-L sports SZ-L carpet mats, silver coloured trim for gearshift knob, side ventilation louvers and door openers. The temperature control knob, gear knob and door handle areas are surrounded by body colour. But this special Alto comes only in metallic paint scheme, Superior White or Bright Red. Suzuki has not only fabricated a special edition Alto, but  a special finance scheme also introduced by Suzuki UK.

“Zero percent finance offers are also available on Alto with a 45 per cent deposit as well as Driveplan PCP’s for even lower monthly payments and the option to pay a final installment to own the car at the end of the contract agreement,” a company statement reads. “Cost of ownership is also very low with an annual VED charge of £20 and insurance group 1E classification.”

In India Maruti Suzuki A-Star is a proven fuel efficient compact car. Though A-Star seriously lacks leg space in rear row and  boot space, it managed to gather some sales since it’s launch. Let us wait and see whether Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce any such Special A-Star in India too!!
