Suzuki test fires Slingshot!!

Suzuki Motorcycle India today launched a new 125cc bike called, Slingshot. Suzuki desperately wants to create a winner in 125cc segment. After parting away from their Indian partner TVS, the Japanese automobile major’s two wheeler arm fared a poor show till now. While their competition continue to witness double digit growth  figures, Suzuki is only present as a bystander in Indian two wheeler segment. The launch of Slingshot was due for the last few months. Slingshot appears to be a nice combination of style and performance that  today’s bike buyer looking for.

Suzuki Slingshot shares the engine with its sibling Zeus. The engine is capable to bring a peak power of 8.7PS @ 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 10Nm @ 3500 rpm. This engine is coupled to five speed gearbox. Slingshot carries many elements from  Zeus and big brother GS150R. Slingshot comes at a decent price tag, around Rs.48,000 in Maharashtra.
