Swift diesel is one of the most successful product in Suzuki Motor Corporation’s portfolio. Diesel Swift has been a run away success in almost all markets where it is present. Suzuki has made their hot selling diesel hatch more attractive in European markets by adding Start-Stop system into it. The 1.3 ltr DDiS engine powered diesel Swift will have a Start-Stop system sourced from Mico Bosch. Earlier Start-Stop system was available in petrol Swifts only.
So what is special about the Swift Diesel with Start-Stop technology. By shutting down the engine at stops, the car became more fuel efficient and environment friendly. The normal engine powered diesel Swift returns a decent fuel efficiency of 17 Kilometers per every one liter fuel. The Start/Stop system fitted Suzuki Swift will return an amazing fuel economy of 24.4 km/ltr. In addition to the new technology, Suzuki Swift diesel has an attractive feature list as well. The features include 8 airbags, ABS, EBD, electric windows, 16 inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, ESP, fog lights, keyless start, heated mirrors shell in the same body color, stereo system with CD/MP3 player, parking sensors, adjustable steering wheel height and depth.
The Swift is known as one of the most pocket friendly car. After adding Start/Stop technology Swift become even more pocket friendly. Last week we saw another value for money product launch ( Toyota Etios Liva) in Suzuki Swift’s segment. Liva currently outshines Swift Petrol and diesel variants in fuel economy figures. The all new Suzuki Swift is due for India launch by end of 2011. Do you think Suzuki will fit Start-Stop system in 2011 Suzuki Swift while it landing in India..?
