Tata Jaguar Land Rover Plans Home Coming

Tata plans to bring their Jaguar-Land Rover India.Ravi Kant, Tata Motors managing director, told the Financial Times: “Our sales and marketing department has helped facilitate a visit by the senior people (from Jaguar and Land Rover). They have come, they have seen and they are putting some plan in action.”

Last year Jaguar-Land Rover made it’s China and Russian entry where it could make decent sales figures.Tata aims to repeat the same story in India too,Tata’s take over of Jaquar-Land Rover(JLR) raised many eye brows across the world.Many argued that JLR is over priced and doesn’t match Tata’s product line up.The ‘overpriced JLR’ argument proved to be true to some extend as Tata itself struggling a lot to fund the huge purchase value.

But Tata turned lucky scott for JLR, Jaguar could score well in a market where people talk about cash crunch.But recently JLR recently filed silent bailout plan to Britain Goverment.But Ravi Kant termed current crisis as “cyclical pressures” and said that while Tata Motors faced “cyclical pressures” similar to other producers, it was on track to bounce back.

So JLR’s Indian fans may get an alternate to import route.
