Tata Nano Europa, The European version of World’s cheapest car Nano details are emerging.Tata arranged a private preview of Nano Europa for Autocar in London.Nano Europa was previewed in this year’s Geneva Motor Show and expected to make commercial launch by 2011.In preparation to this mega event Tata Nano had already passed a crash test conducted by European Safety Institute.
Nano Europa is powered by a 1.0ltr 3 cylinder engine which can produce 60bhp at peak.The manual gearbox of Indian version of Nano has been replaced with five speed gearbox.This will ensure lesser gear changes,minimum emission and better fuel efficiency.The overall length of 3.3mtr which is lesser than other sub-compact cars in Europe.
The wheels are 14” alloy configuration.Safety features like ABS,traction control,electric power steering,two air bags are also present in European Nano.The suspension of Nano Europa will be comfortable than our desi Nano, thanks to all independent rear suspension.
The door configuration is not confirmed till now.But we expect Indian version will be carried forward to European countries too.By the way why Tata cannot bring this upmarket Nano to India too?We hope this can be a talk in town in our country too..
