Tata will hike the prices of Indica and Indigo by a significant amount from October 1. Tata Motors attributes the hike towards rising costs of raw materials, particularly rubber products like tyres. Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai had already hiked prices of their cars in August and September respectively. Maruti hiked prices of all its models by up to Rs 7,500 except the Alto while Hyundai hiked prices by 1.2%. However, the magnitude of price hike has not been mentioned.
