Toyota Camry Hybrid now available in Thailand as well.Yesterday we had seen the launch of 2009 Toyota Camry in India, last week Toyota launched the hybrid version of Camry in Thailand.The petrol-electric version Camry was announced this May and Toyota has managed to secure 900 odd pre-launch booking.
Toyota Camry Hybrid is coming at a hefty sum, the top end model of this hybrid comes with approximate Rs.25lac price tag.Toyota aiming to sell 4000 units from August to December.Three variants of Camry Hybrid is available in three variants all powered with same 2.4ltr engine.Toyota is providing three year or 100,000 kilometre warranty with a five year special guarantee for battery.
Camry Hybrid is Euro-IV complaint and specially designed for Asian climate conditions like hot weather conditions and heavy congested roads.With launch of Hybrid Camry Toyota wants to revive falling mid-size sedan market in Thailand.Normally India gets an updated after two-three years, so we can expect the launch of Hybrid Camry in 2011 or so if at it is going to happen.
