After long legal tussle with Bajaj Auto Ltd, yesterday TVS Motors Company launched their 125CC bike Flame D.S. 125. TVS claims they have secured required legal clearance from all competitive authorities before the launch of Spark Double Spark 125.It is noteworthy that the Spark S.R.125 has been rebadged as Spark DS 125.
This 125 CC executive segment bike comes with a three valve CC-VTi engine developed by TVS in association with AVL Austria.TVS claims this technology can yield smooth torque and power characteristics in low and mid speed scenarios. Also Spark D.S. 125 is meant to return better fuel efficiency. The CC-VTi engine can develop maximum power of 10.5bhp@7500 rpm. The top speed of Spark is 95kmph.
The looks and styling of Spark is impressive, you might have noticed that TVS Motors is known for implementing small styling elements throughout their product line up.The head lamp cluster and fuel tank with embedded turn indicators are part of this styling treatment.TVS Flame D.S.125 sports a price tag of Rs.42,900(ex-showroom) which we feel quiet competitive in this segment.
So let us see, will spark will ignite TVS Motors future journey more exciting. Also let us wait and watch what could be the reaction of Bajaj Auto to re-launch of Spark DS 125.
