Volvo is considered as a car maker who gives top priority to safety aspects of their products. The Volvo cars are equipped with a host of active and passive safety systems to ensure occupant and pedestrians safety. Now we want to share a story of an epic failure of a passive safety device in one of their flagship product S60. Volvo had arranged a demo event of Crash Avoidance System for a selected bunch of journalists. The Crash Avoidance System in it’s original form must have avoided collision with a parked truck. Volvo was confident about the electronic and mechanical set up but things went wrong for a moment and here is the result.
