Black Orange Special Edition Beetle

As we reported earlier VW is already completed their ground works before launching Beetle in India. To be honest we were wrong in predicting the launch date, according to us VW supposed  to launch Beetle bug in India by this October but VW finalized the date of launch of Beetle in India by end of December 2009.Ahead of Beetle India launch VW launched a special edition Black Orange edition Beetle in Germany.

VW Beetle Black Orange Edition

The special edition Beetle is no different from it’s original form except the orange and black stripes in the side cladding. The Black Orange Edition is available in both hatch and convertible versions. But there are only two shade options are available in the special edition Beetle.

The orange exterior VW Beetle sports a black stripe reads “Black Orange” while black exterior version comes with while stripe with same wording. The “Sarasota” special five spoke 17” alloy wheel set make new Beetle really special.

The interior is garnished with three spoke steering wheel with leather cover and leather sports seats with Black Orange stitching on it.The aluminium  pedals, fabric floor mats and special gear shifter are other extras bundled with these special bugs. The comfort of air conditioner and arm rests and convenience of power windows are part of offering.

Back to India, we know Beetle is coming to India, but it will be come with a heavy price tag. Some one informed us that Beetle in India will cost more than twenty lacs.So we really doubt how many takers will come forward with such heavy budget for  a small car like Beetle. We do agree the fact, Beetle buyers are not going to use this car for daily chorus, rather it will be a style icon for them.Share your opinions with us!

  1. I have had the previlege to design the brake pad for VW Beetle and have enjoyed South African roads travelling from Joberg to Durban like long stretches . Amazingly sturdy even under high speed unlike other small cars it is very safe for the driver. Seat adjustment upward downward is useful engine knock is fine .I wish to give advertisement as i have VW beetle photos and wish to give adds for Indian buyers if given a chance for VW which i always like the most.
