- VW Polo R To Follow Polo GTI
VW is believed to be focussing more on performance car segment. To ascertain this claim, VW today indicated the arrival of performance version of their much acclaimed hatch Polo, christened as VW Polo R by 2011 beginning. So Polo R will be the third performance car offering from VW, the first two are Golf R and Scirocco R. This news was brought by Autocar UK after a discussion with VW at Wolfsburg.
What could be the contents of Polo R package? too early to guess! still we can expect a powerful 1.6ltr engine with maximum power of 210HP. The initial reports suggest that there won’t be all wheel drive (AWD) option in the beginning. So we may have to wait a while to get VW Polo R AWD. Anyway quiet interesting move from VW, we will have to wait and watch the launch event of VW Polo R after few months.
